        • About Coastal Pet Vetshop & Consulting Rooms

          Dr. Stam is a distinguished and proud Namibian veterinarian with a deep passion for animal care and a unique ability to work fear-free with animals of all sizes. In 2017, she turned her lifelong dream into reality by opening her vet shop on the Namibian coast. After spending the first few years at the coast working in clinics, Dr. Stam realized her desire to slow down and focus on more personalized care. Just a few months after Coastal Pets opened its doors, a consulting room was added, allowing her to spend more one-on-one time with her patients while managing the shop she always envisioned.

          Since then, Coastal Pets has relocated, expanded, and made many amazing furry friends. Dr. Stam and her husband have also welcomed two beautiful daughters, who love being in the shop, making Coastal Pets a welcoming place for both children and pets.

          At Coastal Pets, we prioritize the health and happiness of your best friend. For major operations, X-rays, and sedations, we will refer you to the clinic of your choice.

          Our receptionist and PA, Leandrie, is well-versed in flea treatments, shampoo routines, deworming schedules, over-the-counter treatments, the best toys, and tastiest snacks, and is a nutritional advisor for Hill’s pet food. She’s the friendly face you’ll see as you walk through the door and will always assist you to the best of her ability. If any products you need are not in-store, they can be specially ordered for you and your best friend.
